What drew you to the world of college admission counseling?
My desire to help students make an informed decision about college.
What is your favorite part of the job?
I enjoy working with students and supporting their success.
How has NACAC played a role in your career?
As a new member, NACAC has been a wealth of resources and professional connections for me. Attending my first NACAC conference allowed me to meet others across the country who work in the same field. Each day, when I open my email the NACAC newsletter is one of the first emails to greet me. I enjoy reading it and getting updates about what’s happening in the world of college admission.
What do you think is the biggest challenge facing our profession today?
One of the challenges currently facing our profession is the disparity in our educational system. Not all students have access to the same resources and opportunities and therefore not all students are prepared equally for the postsecondary world.
When you aren’t working, what do you like to do?
Hiking, baking, and reading.
What five words would you use to describe yourself?
Introvert, considerate, dependable, practical, and determined.
