Arlington, VA (October 17, 2023) – In partnership with Civic Nation, 121 students registered to vote while attending the NACAC National College Fair in Portland, Oregon on Oct. 8-9.
Civic Nation hosted their ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge and, along with members of the Pacific Northwest Association for College Admission Counseling Government Relations Committee, ran a non-partisan voter registration drive for attendees. Infographics, voting laws of different states, registration forms via QR code, website link, and take-home packets complete with stamped envelopes were available to the 3,391 attendees.
The mission of ALL IN is to foster civic culture and institutionalize democratic engagement activities and programs at colleges and universities, making them a defining feature of campus life, according to Civic Nation.
This was the first time NACAC hosted on-site voter registration at a national college fair. This is part of an ongoing effort to elevate students’ experiences of attending a college fair.
In-person and virtual college fairs are scheduled through spring 2024. Access the schedule.
