Chantelle Jackson-Boothby
Director of University Counseling

Chantelle Jackson is the director of university counselling at CDNIS. Chantelle earned her Doctor of Education in educational leadership from the University of Southern California, where she studied academic advising and student development services at USA universities. She also holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Southern California and her M.A. in multicultural education from CSU Dominguez Hills. Chantelle began her career as an undergraduate admissions advisor and graduate academic advisor at the University of California, Irvine in 2005. After transitioning from higher education, Chantelle served as the head academic advisor at a large high school in Southern California, before assuming the role of college counsellor at a private, independent IB World School. After moving to England in 2018, she continued to work with students, families, and schools, advising them on USA, UK, Canadian, and European university applications, most recently as the managing director of a private education consultancy in London. Currently, Chantelle serves on the Admission Practices Committee for both the International Association for College Admission Counseling (International ACAC) and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). She has also continued to serve as an external application admissions reader for UCLA since 2012.

Joseph Miller
Independent Educational Consultant

Joseph Miller has a lifelong interest in educational advocacy and has over 30 years of educational experience in college access. Over his tenure, he has assisted thousands of students and families in successfully navigating the admissions and financial aid process. In addition, Joseph has traveled across the country, attending programs and touring various colleges and university campuses. He is currently on the College Advisory Board for the University of Tulsa.
Professional associations are essential to providing students with current resources and connections. Joseph served on the executive board of the Texas Association for College Admission Counseling (TACAC) as co-chair for Admissions Practices, then Strategic Plan co-chair. He served the Admissions College Counseling Institute (ACCI) as faculty for nine years and led as the Secondary Curriculum Chair for three years. Joseph also served as a delegate and is now on the Admissions Practices Committee of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). He has extensive experience as a professional development presenter for college admissions and financial aid.
Joseph began working in higher education at the University of New Mexico and later at the University of St. Thomas in Houston. In his secondary posts, he has been fortunate to work with some of the nation’s leading educational organizations, aiding their growth. Joseph flourished and understood the needs of college-seeking students and their families through his former positions at St. Pius X High School (NM), KIPP Houston High School, Cristo Rey Jesuit College Preparatory School of Houston, and St. Agnes Academy (TX). During this time, he helped streamline innovative methods and materials to produce compelling experiences, including cooperative learning, thematic instruction, and differentiation in career exploration.
As a current independent educational consultant (IEC) with The Comprehensive College Check, he provides college options and opportunities through a collaborative environment with every student and family he serves.

Jim Jump
Retired Academic Dean and
Director of College Counseling
St. Christopher’s School (VA)
Jim Jump recently retired after 33 years as the academic dean and director of college counseling at St. Christopher’s School in Richmond, Virginia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Randolph-Macon College and a Master of Arts in philosophy from the University of Delaware. He previously served as an admissions officer, women’s basketball coach, and philosophy professor at the college level. Jim is a past president of NACAC, and he writes the “Ethical College Admissions” column for Inside Higher Ed. He has been interviewed on NPR’s All Things Considered and quoted in publications ranging from the New York Times to Teen Vogue and has been named a college admissions “influencer” by Forbes magazine. He is the recipient of NACAC’s 2024 John B. Muir Award for Excellence in Media.
