Upcoming LMS Transition

NACAC will be launching a new learning management system called NACAC Learn on Monday, May 20. If you plan to register for this NACAC course before that date, find out about how this transition may impact you.

This on-demand course provides critical information on ethical behavior in the student recruitment process and the legal and ethical boundaries that apply to college admission.

The basics:

  • Intended audience: Secondary counselors who advise students on writing college application essays, postsecondary admission professionals who review college application essays, and secondary and postsecondary professionals who deal with recommendation letters.  
  • Cost: $20-$30 per seat or $6,500 for an unlimited annual license. 
    • Cost is dependent on the number of seats purchased. 
  • Estimated completion time: 35 minutes.  
    • Participants have six months to access and complete the course. 
  • Upon completion: A completion certificate.

Course description:

This course is designed to teach participants how to avoid conflicts of interest and handle them if encountered; identify and safeguard private information; and use decision-neutral language and provide guidance without setting expectations. By offering this course, your institution communicates its ethical values and promotes integrity at all steps of the admission process.

Most institutions have several college representatives, often well beyond the admission office staff, who interact with prospective students. Reaching everyone with a consistent message can be difficult. Use this course as part of staff development, HR onboarding, or training for an entire office, department, or campus.

PLEASE NOTE: As of Aug. 1, 2023, all requests to switch cohorts, extend course access (by one month) or changes to course registrations will be subject to a $50 processing fee per person/per course. No refunds will be processed.

Cost per seat for six months of access: 

  • For one-25 learners: $30 
  • For 26-50 learners: $27.50 
  • For 51-100 learners: $25 
  • For 101-300 learners: $20
