Each year, NACAC’s Nominating Committee is charged with recommending a slate of highly qualified candidates for election to the NACAC Board of Directors. All NACAC voting members in good standing for five years may submit their name to the Nominating Committee to be considered for a position on the Board of Directors.
In 2025, there are four board positions available: three board directors and the chair-elect of the board. All of those elected will serve through NACAC Conference 2028. The candidate elected as chair-elect in 2025 will serve as chair in 2026-27 and then as past chair in 2027-28. During their term as past chair, they will also chair the Nominating Committee.
The NACAC Board of Directors works closely with NACAC staff, the Affiliate Presidents Council, Special Interest Groups, and other member segments to set the strategic course for the association.
If you are interested in submitting your name for consideration, please review the call-for-candidates information and complete all required application materials (application, biographical information, and reference form). All documents are due at 5 p.m. ET on Feb. 28, with the exception of the institutional support form, which is only required of candidates advancing to the interview round. That form is due by 5 p.m. ET on March 20. All materials must be received by their posted deadlines.
To learn more about board service, the Nominating Committee will offer a three-part series of engaging conversations where members of the Nominating Committee and NACAC board will discuss a variety of topics, including:

Panelists will include members of the Nominating Committee. - Session #2 – Revelations and Insights: My NACAC Board Experience
Panelists will include current board members. - Session #3 – Tomorrow’s NACAC
NACAC CEO, Angel B. Pérez, will discuss the board’s goals and priorities and how they help determine NACAC’s future.
